2004 - 2009
Advisor iSkoot's first major success was the software for the Skype-to-mobile “3 Skypephone” devices, which drove more subscriber additions than any other handset in the Hutch (UK) lineup. Subsequent software, widely deployed by US operators and mobile device manufacturers, focused on the the “mobilization” of Internet services such as social networks, consumer email and IM products. iSkoot was sold to a subsidiary of Qualcomm in October 2010. |

SVP & CTO & co-founder Oversaw evolution of NMS's technology and product architectures, and worked on business strategy and new market development. Created a business plan, patented technology and recruited a director for what eventually became the AccessGate product line (sold to Verso Technologies). Steered an internal development group into ringback tone services helping to create what is now Livewire Mobile. Also did writing on telecommunications topics for both trade and general business publications and speaking at telecom industry events around the world. |

Natural MicroSystems Corporation

SVP, CTO and co-founder As co-founder held various positions including Engineer, Product Marketeer, Sales Engineer, Mgr. Tech Support, CTO, Treasurer, VP Operations, settling on SVP & CTO in the early-90s. While the initial business concept failed, we were able to repurpose the technology, becoming a highly successful vendor of computer telephony equipment and then Voice over IP gear. Natural MicroSystems went public in 1994 and reached a "market cap" peak of $1B. The company name was changed to NMS Communications in May 2001. |
